Missing Objects

Important

In newer versions of Inkarnate, Sublayers are no longer displayed directly in the Layers Panel. They are managed through the Layer Options of each Object Layer.

Symptoms

Some objects, such as stamps, lines, shapes, or text, are missing from the map even though they were previously visible.

Only certain objects are affected, while the rest of the map appears normally.

Possible Causes

The objects may be assigned to a hidden Sublayer.

In newer versions of Inkarnate, Sublayers are managed through the Layer Options of each Object Layer instead of being listed directly in the Layers Panel. If a Sublayer was previously hidden, it remains hidden after migrating the map.

Solutions

To show the hidden objects again:

  1. Open the Layers Panel.

  2. Locate the Object Layer that contains the missing objects.

  3. Open the Layer Options by clicking the gear icon or right-clicking the Object Layer and selecting Layer Options.

  4. In the Sublayers section, enable the visibility of the hidden Sublayer.

If the objects are still not visible, verify that the Object Layer itself is visible.

Still Having Problems?

If you still cannot find the missing objects:

  • Check whether the objects are on a different Object Layer.

  • Verify that the Object Layer is not hidden or locked.

  • If the problem persists, contact Inkarnate Support.
