I Can't Access Text

Symptoms

Text objects are visible on the map but cannot be selected or edited.

Clicking the text selects other objects instead, or nothing happens.

Possible Causes

Text objects are stored on a different Object Layer than the currently active one.

The Select Tool can only select objects on the selected Object Layer. If another Object Layer is selected, text objects cannot be selected until the correct layer is activated.

Solutions

1. Open the Layers Panel at the right side

2. Select the Object Layer containing the text objects. (usually named Object Layer 2)

3. Switch to the Select Tool, then click the text to select and edit it.

If the Layers Panel is collapsed, click the Layer icon to expand it before selecting the correct layer.

Tip: Text objects are created on the currently active Object Layer. Keeping text on a dedicated Object Layer can make maps easier to organize.

Still Having Problems?

If you still cannot select the text:

• Verify that the correct Object Layer is selected.

• Check whether the layer is locked.

• Try hiding other Object Layers temporarily to make selecting the text easier.

• If the issue persists, contact Inkarnate Support.
