The Explore page lets you browse maps published by the Inkarnate community that have been selected and featured by the Inkarnate team.

Maps are displayed in an infinite-scrolling grid, making it easy to discover inspiring maps, find cloneable starting points, and explore different Styles and creators.

Browsing Maps

Use the available controls to narrow down or reorder the maps shown on Explore:

  • Featured/Templates: Shows all maps selected for the Explore page or only official Template maps.

  • Sort: Order maps by Recent, Most Viewed, Most Liked, or Most Cloned.

  • Filter: Show All maps, only Cloneable maps, or maps from a selected Style.

  • Search: Find maps by their map name or author name.

Viewing a Map

Select a map to open its detail page with a larger preview. From the detail page, you can:

  • Download the map image in the editing resolution of the scene.

  • Clone the map when cloning has been enabled by the author.

  • Use the left and right navigation controls to move between maps without returning to the Explore grid.

Cloning creates your own editable copy of the map, allowing you to customize it without changing the original.

Paid Feature

Map Cloning is available with a paid subscription.

How Maps Are Selected for Explore

Publishing a map does not automatically add it to the Explore page.

The Inkarnate team reviews published community maps and hand-picks impressive maps to feature on Explore. This selection helps keep the Explore page focused on high-quality maps and useful inspiration from the community.
