The Dashboard is the first page you see after logging in or creating an Inkarnate account. It provides quick access to your maps, map creation, tutorials, templates, Marketplace content, and community maps.

Creating a Map
At the top of the Dashboard, you can quickly start a new map:
Create Fantasy World: Immediately creates the starting canvas for a 4:3 Fantasy World map at 2K Editing Resolution.
Create Fantasy Battlemap: Immediately creates the starting canvas for a 4:3 Fantasy Battlemap at 2K Editing Resolution.
Custom: Opens the map creation window, where you can choose from Inkarnate’s available Styles and configure your new map.
The quick-start options are useful when you want to begin creating immediately without configuring the map first.

Recent Maps
If you have already created maps, the Recents section displays the maps you have worked on most recently. Use this section to quickly continue working on an existing map.

Templates and Tutorial
The Templates section contains official Inkarnate maps designed to provide a quick starting point for your own creations.
The first entry is the Tutorial Map. Opening it starts the Fantasy World beginner tutorial, which introduces the core tools and workflows used to create a world map.
Official Tutorials and Templates that use only free assets can be cloned by Free users. Cloning creates your own editable copy, allowing you to customize the map without changing the original.

Videos
The Videos section contains selected videos from the Inkarnate YouTube channel.
These videos cover map-making techniques, editor tools, and workflows that can help you become more familiar with Inkarnate.

Marketplace
The Marketplace section highlights selected Marketplace products.
Marketplace products contain additional Assets created by Inkarnate and Marketplace creators that can be added to your Asset library.

Community Maps
The Community Maps section displays recently published maps from Explore.
You can open these maps to see what other creators are making and, where cloning is available, create an editable copy as a starting point for your own map.
