The Inkarnate Marketplace allows approved sellers to sell original Asset Packs and Maps to other Inkarnate users.
Sellers can define their product pricing, optionally offer additional usage or cloning rights, and receive payouts through a connected Stripe account.
Marketplace selling is currently available only to invited sellers.
What You Can Sell
Marketplace sellers can publish:
Asset Pack Products: A complete Pack of related Assets. Individual Assets cannot be sold separately.
Map Products: One or more finished maps sold together as a product, with each map provided as its own Scene.
Bundles: Collections of Marketplace products, where available.
Additional purchase options can be offered depending on the product type:
Commercial License: Asset products can optionally offer a Commercial License for an additional price.
Cloning: Map products can optionally allow customers to create their own editable copy of the purchased map.
Content Ownership
Content sold through the Marketplace must be your own work.
Asset products must contain original Assets created by you. Content created from third-party artwork or Inkarnate Assets, including Composites made from those Assets, cannot be sold as your own Marketplace content.
Marketplace products must also follow the applicable content and Marketplace requirements.
Preparing Your Product
Before publishing, make sure your product is complete and ready for customers.
For all products:
Use a clear, descriptive English title.
Remove internal filenames, prefixes, or underscores from customer-facing names.
Do not include external URLs in the map or product description.
Apply the appropriate Violent Content or Sexual Content flags where required.
Make sure the product presentation, description, and preview images accurately represent what customers receive.
For Asset Products:
Organize all Assets belonging to the product into a single Pack.
Configure Asset names, Tags, properties, and Style assignment before publishing.
Make sure Asset scale is appropriate for the intended Style.
For Map Products:
Make sure the map is complete and suitable for use as a map.
If Cloning is offered, keep the map meaningfully editable and avoid flattening unnecessary parts of the map. Use a clear and organized Layer structure so customers can easily understand and edit the cloned map.
Pricing and Add-ons
Each product has a base price.
For Asset and Map products, the base purchase provides the standard personal-use license. You can optionally offer a Commercial License for an additional charge.
Customers purchasing the Commercial License pay both the base product price and the additional Commercial License price.
Map products can similarly offer Cloning as an optional addition where supported.
Marketplace Fees and Payouts
Inkarnate charges a 30% Marketplace fee on each sale.
To receive Marketplace payouts, you must connect a Stripe account to Inkarnate. Stripe is used to process seller payouts.
Your balance, upcoming payout, previous payout, and product sales performance can be viewed through Sales Data.
Publishing and Review
Marketplace products are reviewed before they become available to customers.
Before submitting a product, review its content, presentation, pricing, content flags, and product-specific settings to make sure everything is ready for publication.
See Publishing Products for the full publishing workflow and product configuration options.
After Publishing
Once published and reviewed, your product becomes available through the Marketplace and can be purchased by other users.
You can continue monitoring its performance through Sales Data and update your product where supported.
When updating published content, consider how changes may affect customers who already use the product.
