A Brush Layer stores painted textures and colors created with the Brush Tool. Use multiple Brush Layers to organize different terrain types, separate painted elements, to apply paint with a different blend mode, or make individual parts of your map easier to edit.

Layer Options

Brush Layers provide the following layer settings:

  • Opacity: Adjusts the transparency of everything painted on the layer.

  • Blend Mode: Controls how the painted textures and colors blend with the layers beneath them.

Tips

  • Paint different terrain types on separate Brush Layers to make them easier to edit later.

  • Use multiple Brush Layers to experiment with different textures without affecting existing work.
