A Pack is a collection of related Assets. Packs help organize artwork within the Art Manager, make Assets easier to browse in the Catalog, and provide a convenient way to distribute related content together.
Packs can belong to a Style or exist independently without one. Assets should be grouped into Packs based on a common theme, purpose, or intended use.
Examples for packs could be: Dungeons, Sewers, Forest, Human Settlements, Elves
Packs are also the publishable unit of assets. Each product on the Marketplace contains the Assets from a single Pack, although Packs can also be used purely for organization and do not need to be published.
Creating a Pack
To create a Pack:
Open the Art Manager.
Select the Plus button on the Catalog item or any Style item in the Hierarchy Panel.
If creating from the Catalog item, select Pack.
Enter the Pack details and choose its destination Style.
You can also create a Pack directly inside a Style by selecting Add Pack, or create one while uploading Assets.
Pack Properties
Select a Pack in the Hierarchy Panel to view and edit its properties in the Details Panel.
Packs provide the following properties:
Name: Identifies the Pack throughout the Art Manager and Catalog.
Style: Defines the Style the Pack belongs to. Packs can also exist without a Style and be moved between Styles at any time.
Organizing Packs
Packs can be organized to keep related Assets together and make them easier to browse and publish.
You can:
Create Packs directly inside a Style.
Move Packs between Styles using drag and drop or the Pack context menu.
Reorder Packs within a Style using drag and drop.
Packs are displayed alphabetically within each Style by default.
Tips
Place Packs that share the same visual style and scale within the same Style.
