Recovery

The Recovery feature rebuilds your map from its most recently saved scene data. It is primarily used when the editor can no longer continue working, such as after a black screen caused by running out of browser memory.

Recovery uses the latest version that was successfully saved before the page was reloaded or closed. Any unsaved changes cannot be recovered.

Open the Recovery feature from the Main Menu by selecting Recover Map.

When to Use Recovery

Recovery is useful when:

  • The editor displays a black screen.

  • The exported map looks different then in the editor

Important

If the editor becomes unusable, save the map before reloading the page whenever possible. Reloading without saving permanently discards any unsaved changes.

Recovering a Map

To recover a map:

  1. Save the map using Ctrl + S or the Save button.

  2. Reload the page.

  3. Open the Main Menu and select Recover Map.

  4. Wait for the recovery process to complete.

  5. Save the recovered map before continuing to work.

Limitations

  • Recovery only restores the most recently saved version of the map.

  • Unsaved changes made before the page was reloaded or closed cannot be recovered.

Tips

  • Save your work regularly, especially when working on large or complex maps.

  • If you frequently encounter black screens, consider lowering the Editing Resolution to reduce memory usage.

  • After recovering a map, save it again before continuing your work.
